Going abroad for young people

You are young and you would like to go abroad? Well then, you should contact at first the ferienbOErse for reliable information about offers with a high quality for pupils, students and everybody else under 26, as well as families. All pieces of information are based on e.g. one of the biggest database for travels for under-26-year-old people and families in the world. There are hundred thousands offers stored in every year. We are in contact with more than 1000 organizations (e.g. tour operators, registered associations, youth aid providers).

The ferienbOErse is able to guarantee highly qualified offers because all are made by quality controlled organizations. The tour operators are youth aid providers, fulfil international or national norms like the European Norm for language travels or they are members of organizations who had developed special quality criteria for their members and partners. You can find a list of these norms and organizations at the quality page.

Offers are straight accessible in the internet, while specific additional information are provided in the office catalogues. You may get many pieces of information about e.g. Au Pair, children travel, school trips, family journeys, gap years, group travel, high school visits, international meetings, language courses, language travel, university visits, seminars, study trips, voluntary services, youth meetings, work & travel, work camps and youth travel.

The legal representative of the youth information and youth counselling center ferienbOErse, is the registered non profit independent youth aid provider Understanding by encountering (Voelkerverstaendigung durch Begegnung). This organization is supported by the job center Leipzig and for example a member of open-the-world.com (Weimar), part of the Eurodesk network (Bruxelles/ Bonn), a member of the registered non profit German Federal Forum for child- and youth travel  BundesForum Kinder- und Jugendreisen (Berlin),  the registered non profit independent youth aid provider of leisure time centres for young people in Saxony agjfs Arbeitsgemeinschaft Jugendfreizeitstätten Sachsen e.V. (Chemnitz), the registered non profit independent youth aid provider  city youth organization of Leipzig SJR Stadtjugendring Leipzig. Partner are e.g. bien baltic intercultural ecumenical network (Hamburg), the IJAB International Youth Exchange and Visitors' Service of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bonn).

It doesn't matter if you want to go abroad within Germany and Europe, or to the rest of the world – we are the right address you should get in touch with at first. All information is free of charge. The ferienbOErse is a free information office for young people, which supplies specific tips, updated information, and a comprehensive service. The ferienbOErse also issues special identity cards for juniors, students and young people in general:

In addition to that, the legal representative of the ferienbOErse Understanding by encountering (Völkerverständigung durch Begegnung), is the service point of the  BundesForum Kinder- und Jugendreisen e.V. This association is specialised on children and youth travel. It combines Germany-wide umbrella organizations, agencies and societies, which are developing permanently a common set of quality criteria for children and youth travel. As an independent Youth Aid Provider the BundesForum is sponsored by the federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth Matters and it has been recognised as a non-profit institution by the Tax Office of Berlin-Mitte. The NGO is a member of United Nations WTO World Tourism Organization (Madrid), bits Bureau international du tourisme social (Bruxelles) and the German Child Welfare Alliance (Berlin).
